Follow-up from Duboce Triangle Meeting

Thanks again for providing some time to discuss the water system improvement project in your neighborhood at last night's meeting. A couple of updates: We are installing both 8" and 24" distribution lines through to Duboce, but not across the street to Steiner.

The crew has reached 14th Street with installation of both lines. The contractor intends to complete the installation through to Duboce by Friday.
8/17-21 Install water service lateral lines between Henry and Duboce.
8/24-8/28 Water Dept. will make connections to 8" line and disinfect.
8/31-9/18 Water Dept. will change over the service to the new line.
The contractor will begin digging under Duboce the week of 8/24.

Let us know if you have suggestions or if issues arise. Let us take care of them before they become a real problem. Thank you. Maureen and Jim

  1. Clearly this project is behind schedule. I have no confidence it will be completed (with street restoration NOT just a web of asphalt damage) as agreed.

There is a construction locker "parked" on Henry at Sanchez. It has attracted a huge mess of debris, homeless camps, human waste, noise, bad odors... it MUST be remediated or removed promptly.

Is there any reason all their equipment must be spread out across 12 or more parking areas near the corner of Sanchez/Henry? Seriously... some conscious corrective effort and consideration must be made for the local residents.

Also, construction regularly begins at 6:30am -not 8am-, and the crews are completely careless about the impact they're causing
