Main Break on Waller and Steiner Repaired

Vibrations from road paving in the middle intersection of Waller and Steiner caused an old 2" air valve to break from an existing 16" water pipe around 1:20 pm Wednesday, Nov. 25. Our water operations crew responded immediately and the repair was done by 2:30 pm.

Crew will continue street restoration at the intersection of Waller and Steiner and is expected to be completed today.

Construction Update


Construction on the new Vista Francisco Pump Station building located on Crestline Drive is progressing on schedule. Crews have begun the pouring of concrete for the foundation of the new water pumping station building.

Weekend Work

Weekend Work Scheduled for
Sat & Sun 11/14 – 11/15 and
Sat & Sun 11/21 – 11/22


What: The SFPUC is working to expedite the completion of the Noe Valley Transmission Main Replacement Project and has scheduled work on the weekends noted above. Work will begin on the north side of Duboce Street at the intersections of Sanchez and Steiner.

Work Hours: Construction starts at 8:00 am to 8:00 pm and may extend if necessary.

Traffic: One lane of traffic will remain open and a traffic control will be onsite to direct traffic.

Muni N Judah line: Please check with Muni for update as the schedule for the line will be impacted and allow additional travel time.

Construction Noise: Contractor will make efforts to minimize construction noise.

Parking: Parking will be restricted near the intersections. Please plan your parking accordingly.

Street Restoration Updates


Street restoration on Sanchez Street from Market to about 200 feet south of Duboce has been rescheduled to start on Monday, November 23 and will last no more than 3 days.


To expedite the completion of this project, weekend work is scheduled for Nov. 14, & 15, and Nov. 21 & 22. Construction activity will take place on the north side of Duboce near Sanchez St. We will provide information on weekend construction hours next week.
