Street Restoration - Sanchez between 18th & 19th

Street restoration work underway, to
continue through Friday, September 25 for the entire block

 What: Demolition on Sanchez Street from 18th to Hancock has begun. Hancock to 19th is scheduled to begin Tuesday, September 8. This work includes sawcutting, removing of old concrete and pouring of new concrete.

 Garage: To cure the concrete surface and maintain a safe driveway, access to your garage will be restricted up to 5 days.

 Traffic: Contractor will proceed uphill from 18th Street working in sections. Traffic will be rerouted during construction. Please allow additional time.

 Parking: Contractors are working only one side of the street at a time to minimize parking impact.

We apologize for the inconvenience and are doing everything we can to minimize the impact to our neighbors. Your cooperation in moving your vehicles from your garage will help us finish our work as quickly as possible.

If you have special needs or an emergency situation, the inspector on site will work with you. You may also call Jim Chien of SFPUC Communications at 415-554-3244.

  1. Both sides of Sanchez are blocked between 18th & 19th. Spots on Hanckock near there are blocked. Sanchez between Dorland and 17th is blocked. Mos of Sanchez from 16th to 17th is blocked. Noe above 19th. That's a lot of displaced cars and for right now no solution other than waiting and waiting for this to finish. When does it finish?

  2. Thanks for the comment. The street restoration work in your area is nearing completion. Parking should be available on Noe Street between 19th and 20th streets as early as this weekend. We need a couple more weeks to complete work on Sanchez, and hope to reopen all parking and traffic lanes on both streets by the end of this month. Parking impacts will be kept to a minimum throughout this work. Thanks for your patience as we work to repair our water system.
