Construction Update # 10

Crews continue to work on Sanchez and will return to work on 19th street next week. Parking should improve as the contractor has consolidated pipe and equipment staging and all workers will be parking at the school lot. Our inspectors are also monitoring closely how the contractor posts “no parking” signs so as to minimize the parking that is restricted.

Sanchez between 16th and 19th: thru mid-August
Crews continue to work on making service connections to businesses and residences and testing the pipeline along Sanchez. One traffic lane will remain open. Flag persons will be on site to direct traffic. “No parking” signs will be posted 72-hours in advance. Work Hours: 8:00 am–6:00 pm.

Sanchez and Market Streets: thru mid-August.
Tunneling work is complete. Crew is now working on new water main installation at the intersection of Sanchez and Market streets. One lane of traffic will remain open. Flag persons will be on site to direct traffic. Work Hours: 8:00 am – 6:00 pm.
Parking at intersections of north and south sides of Market Street may be impacted. Parking restriction signs have been posted. If no construction takes place by noon, public parking is permitted.

19th Street between Sanchez and Noe: thru mid-August.
Crew will return mid-next week to make service connections to businesses and residences and perform pressure testing. One traffic lane will remain open. Flag persons will be on site to direct traffic. “No parking” signs will be posted 72-hours in advance. Work Hours: 8:00 am–6:00 pm.

We appreciate your patience as we work to improve your drinking water delivery system.
