Excavation begins at Sanchez & Market
Crew will begin excavation work at the intersection of Sanchez and Market streets early next week and Sanchez and 17th streets the following week installing new 8 and 24-inch water transmission mains. This work involves digging of large pits on both sides of the intersection and then pushing pipe through the pits. Duration: 8 weeks
Sidewalks will remain open, but PG&E may need to close sections of the sidewalk at 17th and Sanchez streets and Market and Sanchez streets for utility work.
Construction crews will continue working at the following locations in the next few weeks:
19th Street between Sanchez and Noe. Duration: 3 weeks
Sanchez between 16th to 18th streets: Duration: 4 weeks
We might need to come back to the same streets to continue work. We appreciate your patience as we work to improve your drinking water delivery system. For updates and comments on the project, please visit: sfwater.org/district8

ReplyDeleteThis time it's not us. We're finished in that area. However, there are a couple of utility excavation permits listed on the DPW street permit ledger. This could be SBC or PG&E.
